The Lloyd Evans Doctrine: When a item of significance and importance to the exJW cause is out there, it is imperative to distribute this piece of intellectual property to exJWs who are in need of this "life saving work". Since Lloyd was charging the highest amount Amazon would allow even after clearing $21K in crowdfunding, he was being unreasonable. It was akin to "withholding anti-biotics in the midst of an epidemic".

What happened: Since the information contained within "The Reluctant Apostate" was crucial to saving lives, a PDF that was "not quite a bootleg" was derived from an early Kindle purchase of TRA. Copies of this file were shared and passed amongst those in need so they could take in this "nourishment" that would help them fully wake up from the manipulative power of the WT and/or Lloyd Evans.

So if you are short on funds, didn't bludgeon any seal cubs, and need the spiritual food Lloyd had provided in TRA, feel free to ask round for a copy. The exJW community had graciously compensated the writer to the tune of $21K, plus the royalties he gets from Amazon. So it belongs to the community more than him. It even "transcends" him.

Per the Lloyd Evans Doctrine, TRA exists as a free PDF.

Here’s the thing I’ve found to be true about Lloyd: he always minimises things that are detrimental to his interests. You saw it in his letters to his wife. You saw it when he managed to take several conflicting positions regarding the COC bootleg.

In the book he casually mentions that the time she caught him sexting wasn’t the first time. The impression is made that it was one other time. I don’t think that is accurate. This sounds like a long pattern of behaviour (they were married for almost two years) that she got fed up with.

The story about him shoving a letter of confession and resignation as an elder under the door of another elder is highly sus. He expressed disgust that it wasn’t the end of the matter, like he expected that the elder was going to throw up his hands and say “well that is too bad, Brother Evans has several online sexting relationships outside his marriage and no longer qualifies as an elder. Letter accepted, I will announce it next week at the KH”. Of course there was going to be a JC or at very least a series of shepherding calls.

In reality it was a much longer and complicated process than he reveals and the letter under the door story is a literary device - an allegory that he employed in order to avoid answering all those inconvenient questions. Dijana told people she had left him and fled to Croatia. This was also part of Marko’s statement.

But it was never told as such by him. She is a very private person who avoids conflict at all cost, and for some apparent reason, against his express wishes - chose a path that was destined to cause the most upheaval in their lives.

Makes sense only if she planned to leave him as it appears she did. Must have been something more involved than meaningless sexting. There was something real there, not limited to online contact.

They weren't interested in having the great Lloyd show them the error of their ways, and then make their changes while shaking his hand and thanking him for his guidance.

This is precisely what Lloyd thought when the AAWA and JW Survey websites were launched. They both issued an invitation to the GB to meet and discuss the concerns raised by him and AAWA. GB won't even meet with traveling overseers and branch members about concerns unless they were specifically asked for by the GB. Yet he felt there was a chance they might meet with a group of apostates led by him.

I don't think he wanted to leave, he was forced out and for the last 14 or so years he has pursued a vendetta against the watchtower for daring to throw him out.

Everything I've heard about the entire situation leads me to agree with that. I believe he was perfectly content with being a JW elder so long as he could live his double life and having his misdeeds covered by his dad and the elders. In fact it is right there in his book - he got caught sexting and didn't want to tell the elders, proposing to his wife that they carry on like normal. Him and "Geoffrey" had a grudge match and he wasn't ready to let it go. Lloyd was still an elder but stripped of most privileges, and he was plotting to bring Geoffrey down.

So.... 6 days ago Lloyd points his followers to this video, and so far there are only 1771 views, 81 likes and 21 comments?

I agree. I don't think people really care to hear about his shroom adventure contrary to what he had hoped. They've been round the mainstream for over 60 years now, and for 1000s of years in indigenous communities.

Is he going to smoke a joint on the next video and describe what he's feeling?

yes, i know he's a rehensible human being who got served a healthy dose of karma, or, if you like, divine judgement.

to go from having all there is to have within the world he lived in, to where he is now; that's a long fall.

What makes you think he had no friends? GB members are feted everywhere they went and likely has many people who know and would sympathise with him.

If the assertion is true that he was a hardliner dead-set against change, there are no shortage of old-timers whom he could confide in about how he fought tooth and nail against the new beard policy for example. He strikes me as someone with a huge mouth and would love to shoot it off within selected company.

for those still interested in lloyd's fall from grace, i made up a chart of my own.

april 2023 is when he put out his "things are bad" tin cup begging video, and he got a small surge to 592 on the 13th of that month.

i'm also using his all-time peak of 897 from november 2022.. for march, we're gonna say a modest -15, putting him at 352. i'm also curious as to when he might hit 300 and then 200. if he keeps up with an average of -20 every month, he'll be at less than 190 before the end of this year.. happy guessing everyone..

Are any of his die-hard supporters still telling people that it's no one's business what he does with his 'activism income'?

That's nearly impossible to measure at this stage. He bolted from X\Twitter last Sept. so his vocal Twitter support crew has all but scattered, and is only on FB on his "writer's account" where he will simply give a link to his next video. You can open up a thread about him on Reddit and in the time it takes for the mods to delete it, he'll get a few comments to this effect. But I have seen that the longer one of the threads there about him stay up, the more it becomes decidedly negative towards him. It happened the same way after the livestream. The more people think about this the worse it sounds.

The doctor analogy has always been a poor one for him to use. He's a male and interviewing many female abuse survivors about sensitive subjects. Likewise a doctor can be a male and is operating on female patients who are wearing nothing but a hospital gown. Would a female patient be comfortable with a doctor operating on them who has stated the following:

I have no mastery over my penis
I saw sex workers in Thailand. No I mean I saw them in Croatia. I only dated one in Thailand. You all are sick perverts for thinking this even though I just told you.
In field service as a JW, there was a "shapely" woman who turned me on so much that everyone (including her) could see my erection. I wrote about it in my book.
I fantasised about the "girls" who were serving me food at school. So much so that I later wanked to it.
I humped a Christmas tree whilst inebriated and wrote all about it in my memoir!
My wife is not sexually compatible with me and I announced it to a livestream audience. I also wrote her a 12 page long letter that emotionally abused her.
I'm suing people who exposed this behaviour of mine and will never miss a chance to take pot shots at them on social media, calling them criminals.

The list goes on. So as a female patient, what assurances do you have that this doctor is not going to get a hard-on during surgery when your breasts or genitalia are exposed? What if you have a negative experience with this doctor along these lines, write a review, and now find yourself being sued by this doctor for defamation? What assurances do you have that this doctor is not going to start jerking off to mental images of your surgery? Maybe he takes pics for medical reference, but later you find it uploaded on a porn site? Does he start telling other doctors and medical staff what great tits you have?

It's not so much about how the doctor is spending his money, it's the fact that the doctor is seriously fucked in the head. You need to be able to trust a doctor. And what Lloyd does is not "salary" similar to a doctor's. Doctors don't set up Patreon pages as some sort of altruistic endeavour, pull most of what they earn from this and then blow it on a sex holiday to Thailand.

Interesting that he averaged -22 every month since April.

That's no coincidence. Extremely poor decision to come out and drone on about how important it was to keep his "business" open, yet abruptly close it in a fit of anger 6 months later. He stripped the altruistic value out of it completely and openly pondered the financial future of himself, Dijana and Tibor based on the company's financial viability.

He's a drug addled moron. No one but the hardest of the hardcore Cedarites cares about how his girls can get their haircuts and the quality of their Christmas toys. It's all about actions, which he failed to deliver after getting a patron bump befitting of former cult members who had the same "life saving" reasoning driven into them as JWs. Not even WT would have made the blunder about keeping the GB members and their families fed.

It would have been so fucking easy to have headed out somewhere to film a documentary or some other exJW public event last May to demonstrate how the funds are being put into action, but he counted his money and started prancing around like a chimpanzee with peacock feathers thinking he had really won the battle of attrition with his critics.

It’s a systemic problem for Lloyd. At 367, the numbers are still artificially high and for a large part they are remnants of what he once was and of fundraising campaigns of yesteryear. We’re seeing the numbers gradually auto-correct.

He had a chance to reverse this last year with the type of bounce he had gotten. But he failed to capitalise on the goodwill handed to him. He just assumed he was back and it was 2021 again. True to form he was cocky and making all these comments everywhere about having defeated the “defamation campaign”, only to throw up the white flag a few months later as his patrons continued to nosedive. I would have immediately hit the road and done a documentary and engaged local exJWs. He did no such thing and the content was sparse, repetitive and dull.

From 656 to 750 in a few days. I haven't kept track of all his BS.

He has pulled this shit for years, manufacturing a crisis and painting exJWs, YouTube or WT (take your pick) as “enemies of the channel” in true “us vs them” cult fashion. The one you speak of in 2021 was the “adpocalypse” where YT was demonetising many of his videos. He claimed it was costing him so much that he would have to shut down the channel or scale back if the difference was not made up by Patreon pledges.

And… it worked! He got over 100 in a day or two and regularly tweeted out updates of how many have joined, and what became his catch phrase of being “overwhelmed at the outpouring of support for the channel” and declaring that “we shall carry on!”.

Knowing it had worked before was what led him to pull last year’s begging stunts. I don’t think he’s beyond doing it again, especially as he gets closer to 300, which is probably awfully close to him having to live an austere lifestyle. In fact it is more than likely we’ll see something similar again and soon, this time threatening to leave outright. His problem is that it’s going to be off-putting to people who are already pledging to see that he can’t get his act together and it’s clear he needs to get a job and do this part time like everyone else.
